Encouraging the 'Cultivating Crew Programme' at Grand Harbour Marina in Malta, the marina team hosted a special crew focused, brunch!
Organised by the lovely team at Salvo Grima Yacht Supplies and NO.12 Fine Wines and Provisions who tailored made a custom 3 course brunch with matching champagne and wine pairing.
The morning began with crew being tendered across the bay in style to the capital city of Valletta where they were welcomed by freshly baked croissants, yogurt granola parfaits and coffees at the wine cellar of No.12. A venue steeped in history, going back to over 250 years, built in the times of the Knights of Malta.
The mouth-watering menu was designed by ex yacht chef Luisa Grima who now runs the yacht provisioning department for Salvo Grima. With a passion for food and connection to the yachting community she created a menu full of the freshest ingredients, presented to perfection.
Ben Hayes, chef on board 77M MY SAMAR comments,
“What a great event. Thank you so much for the invite, I loved it.”
The menu was equally enhanced by the finest selection of prosecco, wine and champagne to complement each course and enhance every flavour, carefully chosen by No.12 General Manager and wine sommelier Andrew Azzopardi.
Emma Cassar, Events & Marketing Manager at Grand Harbour Marina comments:
“We hope to create more intimate events such as this in the future, as part of our winter crew programme. It really gives crew the chance to connect with one another and get that tailor-made experience we strive to achieve while berthing at our marina.”
Together, this power duo put together an event which saw captains, chief stewardess’, officers and engineers from various yachts across the marina come together and get to know each other, over good food, while at the same time have some insightful knowledge on the wines and champagne they were tasting.
